How to cook Shahi Paneer?

Shahi Paneer is one of the perfect Punjabi Cuisines which are known for its hot and spicy delicacies prepared with countless flavor and exotic spices. Ingredients:
  • Garam masala : 1/2 tsp
  • Paneer : 200 grams
  • Onions : 2 medium
  • Tomato : 2-3 medium
  • Tomato sauce : 2 tablespoon.
  • Chopped coriander : 1 tablespoon
  • Beaten curd : 2 cups
  • Ginger : an inch
  • ghee or butter : 3 tablespoon
  • cardamoms crushed : 2
  • green chilies chopped : 2-3 medium
  • Grated Paneer : 2 tablespoon.
  • Red chili powder : 2 tablespoon
  • Beaten curd : 2 cups
  • Cream : 3-4 tbsp.
  • Dry fruits : (cashew nuts, raisins, makhane) 1/4 cup
  • Milk : 1/2 cup
  • White pepper : 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder : ½ tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
Method:
  1. Cut the Paneer into 2″ fingers.
  2. Next, Heat the oil in a pan or kadhai and fry the Paneer over medium heat until light brown.
  3. Remember, Turn pieces while frying and be very careful as it splatters.
  4. Then, Keep the Paneer pieces aside.
  5. Next, Grind onion, garlic, ginger, green chili in a blender and make a fine paste.
  6. Fry the mixture in the remaining oil until golden brown and oil starts separating.
  7. Add salt, white pepper, red chili powder, and garam masala and turmeric powder. Saute for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Add milk and cream to make the gravy. Bring the gravy to boil. Reduce the heat and cook until the gravy becomes thick.
  9. Next, Saute the dry fruits in a tbsp. of oil and mix a portion into it.
  10. Finally, add Paneer pieces and 1 tbsp curd. Heat for 5 minutes.
  11. Shahi Paneer is ready to serve. Decorate with cream, dry fruits, coriander leaves, grated Paneer, cardamoms and are optional.
